After many many years of usage I moved from Microsoft Outlook to Thunderbird. One of the main reasons I moved was because Thunderbird is easier to backup as you can backup all account details including passwords. Of late I have been finding Outlook a bit clunky. Was it a wise decision? Maybe there is a better email client?

I actually use Outlook and Thunderbird. I know what you mean when you say Thunderbird is easy to backup. I recently upgraded my laptop and it only took me a few minutes to transfer Thunderbird and there was little or no messing around trying to locate passwords. I still use Outlook though as well.

Another good one is MailBird. It';s also a cinch to backup, something like Thunderbird. It also has email tracking.
